Dump Story: Irreconcilable Differences

Breaking up is the last thing on my list. I’ve only had one girlfriend in my life and we were two months away to celebrating our 7th year together when I called it quits. Liza was my first love and back when we were just starting out, I told myself that I’m going to see her walk down the aisle for me. But things change, don’t they? Things started to shift between us and yeah, maybe got tired of taking care of a love that’s meant to die.

You see, Liza is an independent girl and so was I. We both have different perceptions and beliefs in life, but we managed to reconcile those back then. However, as we grew older and things became more of a responsibility rather than an experience, we realized we couldn’t take each other’s back anymore.

Take our religions for example. I am a catholic and she’s a protestant. It really doesn’t matter to me, but the thing is, she doesn’t spend time doing her responsibility to her church. Whenever I want to attend mass, I’d tell her to attend theirs too and she’d nag me because she wants to spend time with me. She wants everything done her way and I think that’s not possible because I also have things in my mind. Whenever I don’t agree with her, she’d get mad at me and won’t talk to me for a few days. I think that’s kind of childish.
I felt that she needed some growing up to do.

I love Liza, it’s just that she doesn’t want to move on and improve her life. I have my own goals, I have dreams, I have plans and it seems that she’s blocking the way. I don’t want to sound selfish or anything, but maybe when we part ways, she’d realize the need to change. I was the one who ended our relationship and it was so hard for me to see her in tears. I felt sorry, but I know it was for the best. Someday, when she finally decides to get a real life, I might reconcile with her. But until then, we should both grow up without each other’s presence.

Rihanna and Chris Brown Together Again?

November 9, 2009 by admin · Leave a Comment

Did you all see the 20/20 interview? Rihanna came across as a well-spoken, intelligent, level headed, and beautiful young woman. Yes, we have lots of adjective love for Rihanna. What we don’t have is the ability to envision Chris Brown and Rihanna together again. Are you kidding? Why did Rihanna say that even though she can’t see herself back together with him again, only God knows the future?

That is mind-blogging. Then again, love is not rational. If a man beats you to a pulp, especially if your face is that which is pulped, how can you think of going back to him? A man who beats you in the face wants to hurt you deeply. Men know women are vain and this is one of the ways they can seriously hurt women.

Dump Story: A Bottle of Beer for A Broken Heart

For the nth time, I tried calling you. Always, your voice recording answered my calls. Beep! I hung up. I know you are not the type who hides from your exes. Besides, we used to be friends. I can still remember the first time we met. We were in this bar. You were tipsy and had lost another round of Truth or Dare with your friends. You were asked to kiss anyone in my table, which I share with my office mates. We were in one of our girls’ night out and you were there. You kissed me. You were the first. And have been the only one, yet.

You laughed. You never said sorry, though. Instead, you whispered something in my ears and walked away haughtily. I should have gotten angry but you excited me. I have never thought myself sexy. No. I was the class nerd—am the office dork—will have been the martyr of the century. I was still shaken from that incident that I reached inside my bag only to find something pointed yet at the same time glossy. I peeked inside and found your calling card. I would not have known the word suave if not for you. Well, I didn’t call you, did I? But whoever you had asked, you got my number. And you called me.

For several months, we went out together. Eventually, we became a couple. For the two months we were together, we had always dropped by this bar for a bottle of beer. You love your Colt icy cold, while I love my Cerveza Negra cold or just with ice. You haven’t liked Cerveza because you said your ex used to drink this. He will always remind you of the bittersweet, malty aftertaste whenever he kissed you. Well, that is the reason why I didn’t kiss you if I had Cerveza. But for the two months we were together, I only had a glass of Colt 45 as you drank the rest.

But here I am in this bar again, calling you. Where are you?

“Hello?”

“Austin?” I asked. “God! I’ve missed you.”

“Thea, you’re drunk! And stop calling me. We’re—“

“No. It’s not over between us.”

“I’m sorry, but John’s my life.”

“I know. For the last time, would you care for a bottle of beer with me?”

“No.”

“Please. Cheers for my broken heart.”

He hung up on me as the wind washed over my face—a call for the wind to come.

An Absolute Foolproof Way to Get a Hot Woman to Want You

November 3, 2009 by admin · Leave a Comment

This article is addressed to all the men out there who spend their nights fantasizing about hot women they can’t have. You salivate over the likes of Megan Fox and wish you were taller, or slimmer or handsomer. You rather spend your nights in front of the television because you know you will never get this type of woman to say hello, let alone date you. I hate to break it to you, but you are right. You will never get a hot woman to want you. It is not because you are too skinny or too short. It is because you lack the knowledge of how to manage a hot woman.
